LSSU gets First Commitment for 2008-09 Season
The Lake Superior State University hockey program has received a verbal commitment from Daniel Barczuk of the Ohio Junior Blue Jackets of the United States Hockey League. The 6’-1”, 185 pound Livonia Michigan native plays left wing for the Blue Jackets posting 9 goals and 22 points in 56 games after having posted 2 goals in 4 games for Lincoln earlier in the season. Barczuk was fourth on the team in scoring finishing behind current Laker Zac MacVoy. In 2005-06 he posted 1 goal and 10 penalty minutes in 10 games for Cedar Rapids also of the USHL. |
