Father of LSSU Athletics Passes Away

Bud Cooper, longtime athletic director at Lake Superior State, died November 29th from cancer. He was 80. Bud a former athlete, coach and athletic director at Lake Superior State University is commonly know at the father of LSSU Athletics after serving as LSSU’s athletic director for 26 years. Cooper was instrumental in bringing Hockey to LSSU in 1966. LSSU’s gymnasium bears the Cooper name in his honor. https://www.lssu.edu/whats_new/articles.php?articleid=1893
